PCB Designer:

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field.
Experience:  2-4 years of experience


Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand design requirements and specifications for PCB layouts. 
  • Design and develop high-quality PCB layouts using CAD software tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and design guidelines. 
  • Perform schematic capture, component placement, and routing of PCBs to meet performance, size, and cost requirements. 
  • Conduct design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize PCB designs for manufacturability, reliability, and performance. 
  • Generate fabrication and assembly documentation, including Gerber files, assembly drawings, and bill of materials (BOM). 
  • Coordinate with PCB fabrication vendors and assembly partners to ensure timely and cost-effective production of PCB prototypes and production runs. 
  • Conduct design validation and testing of PCB prototypes, troubleshoot issues and implement design improvements as needed. 
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in PCB design technologies, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve design processes and practices. 
  • Adhere to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the design and development process. 

Requirements: 

  • Proficiency in CAD software tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Allegro or KiCad. 
  • Strong understanding of PCB layout design principles, signal integrity, and EMC/EMI considerations. 
  • Knowledge of electronic components, circuit design principles, and manufacturing processes. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and resolving design issues. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing PCB design and manufacturing (e.g., IPC standards). 
  • Experience with PCB fabrication and assembly processes, including DFM/DFT considerations, is a plus. 
  • Should have strong knowledge of Impedance matching, Signal integrity & power integrity.
